About Me
My journey with yoga coincided with my journey into motherhood. What began as a physical outlet led to a renewal of my mind-body connection. Through my teaching, I intend to create a safe and fun space for children to learn about their mind-body connection. With the goal of teaching movement and breath work to help children name their emotions and give them the vocabulary to discuss their social and emotional selves.
I studied adult education and Theology for undergraduate and graduate degrees, which has helped inform my journey into mindfulness.
I have always been a teacher at heart, seeking to make connections between ideas and people of all ages; adults, children, or families. Through life experiences and my work at a Madison preschool, I decided to pursue training for teaching kids yoga. I completed a kids’ yoga teacher training with Meet Me in Child’s Pose in August 2022 and then my Teacher Certification in March 2023.
Currently, my programming involves teaching in a Madison Preschool during the school year and teaching in Madison parks in the summer. I also work with families for special events and birthdays. If you are interested exploring the idea of adding yoga to your children's program (sport, camp or school) or just a one-time gathering, check out my yoga offerings using the link above.
